Kreneck’s approach to art has unfolded through experiences and inspirations derived from his surroundings, family, examination of his childhood, ethnic heritage, and his personal relationships. Many of his images are drawn from his interest in toy and comic book collecting, the game of chess, and his love for dogs. He sees his pieces as quasi-autobiographical, making it possible to utilize symbols special to him. His hope is that situations depicted in the work are broad enough in scope to strike a familiar chord in the minds of a diverse audience.
