Gates of the leisure pool

The Student Leisure Pool gates have a flowing water motif made out of a mix of mild steel and steel plate. The pattern is a negative form that enables those looking at the gates to see through to the other side. The elements, suggesting the movement of swimmers through water, leap from panel to panel, following their path of travel. The forms culminate in the symbol of the nautilus, whose proportions are expressed in waves as they crest.
