High Plains Correlative, 2009

Ken Williams

American
Sculptural Masonry

This piece connects many pieces of the natural and human-made environment. Not only do the materials complement the lines of the building, the columns at the center also reflect the natural topography, created by differential erosion in the nearby Palo Duro Canyon. This sculpture includes seating areas that invite visitors to the building to sit and contemplate the artwork. There are multiple iterations of this installation throughout the campus by Williams.
