The organic forms of this sculpture were cut out of one-inch thick steel; the deliberately amorphous forms allow viewers the opportunity to interpret the sculpture based on their own experiences and frame of reference. For some, the sculpture may recall swirling water, strata of the earth, oil flowing through pipes, or other organic motifs. Novella is an internationally successful artist, with completed works in Europe, Asia, and New Zealand; this is his first commission in the United States.
